Alberta Premier Rachel Notley dropped the Election Writ Tuesday, March 19, which means we're going to the polls in exactly 28 days, Tuesday, April 16.

So, that means High River residents, are now officially in the Livingstone-Macleod Riding, and no longer in Highwood.

Roger Reid will represent the UCP, Dylin Hauser the Liberals, Cam Gardner for the NDP and Tim Meech for the Alberta Party along with Independent Candidate Vern Sparkes.

The two incumbent MLA's, Livingstone-Macleod's Pat Stier and Highwood's Wayne Anderson are both now officially done, with Stier deciding not to run and Anderson losing out in his nomination bid for the UCP to R.J. Sigurdson.

Along with Sigurdson in Highwood are, Erik Overland with the NDP and Independent, Dan Irving.

The dissolution of the legislature means High River residents are no longer part of the Highwood Riding, but now switch to Livingstone-Macleod, which includes, Nanton, Claresholm, Fort Macleod, Pincher Creek the Crowsnest Pass along with parts of Foothills County and the MD's of Willow Creek and Ranchland among others.

Okotoks, Black Diamond and Turner Valley, along with the remainder of Foothills County are now in the Highwood riding.

Experts are saying this could be the most divisive election campaign in Alberta history.
