Provincial Economic Development and Trade Minister Deron Bilous has announced another 50 grant recipients as part of the Province's Community and Regional Economic Support or "CARES" Program.

Bilous says the money is there to diversify the economy.

"Regional and community economic development projects contribute a great deal to attracting investments, improving the local business environments and helping industry, entrepreneurs and small to medium sized businesses grow and succeed."

No money is coming to the Foothills this time around, but in the first intake in 2016 over $150,000 came to initiatives in the Foothills in Black Diamond, Claresholm and over $115,000 to Vulcan.

Bilous says applications for the third intake end Thursday, November 30.
