Oilfields High School is holding its Ninth Annual Friends of Quest Dinner and Auction.

Facilitator Carol Gauzer says the Quest program helps students discover their inner strengths through customized, self-paced learning.

"Quest is a group of high school students in grades 10, 11 and 12. They form a cohort for their academic learning and then they do excursions into the outdoors."

She says the dinner and auction take place on Saturday March 12 and doors open at 5:30pm.

She says it's a fun filled night with great food and entertainment all for a good cause.

"It's being held at the Flare 'n' Derrick in Turner Valley. Tickets are $40 and they're available at the school. We are close to being sold out so if people want tickets they should call the school at 403-938-4973."

She says aside from the professionally catered dinner, entertainment and music by Tin and the Toad, there's some great items up for auction too.

"We have a handcrafted log swing, glider flights, rounds of golf, art work and outdoor equipment. We have all sorts of things that we're auctioning off but if anybody wants to donate they can call the school directly."
