The Heritage Inn International Balloon Festival Had a huge crowd at the Night Glow event last night.

Organizer Jamie Kinghorn says the 5th Annual Festival has been over the top successful.

"The weather gods have been absolutely fantastic," said Kinghorn. "We've had amazing flights. Look at the crowd tonight."

He has talked to people from as far away as Grand Prairie and Winnipeg who have come to High River just to see the balloons.

A change in forecast might affect the Saturday and Sunday flights though with wind, rain and snow all in the mix.

"I'm hearing about some weather coming in but we are optimistic it may hold off and we will get some flights in."

He added the competition flights have gone very well.

"It's been a very, very safe event we've had some very good tasks. I can't say enough about how great it has been."

Kinghorn says the field at Spitzee School is a great spot for the Night Glow because the field is well groomed, and it is sheltered from the wind.

He says it is also nice for the people who are in the hospital to be able to see the balloons glowing.

They did have to shut the event down early when the wind kicked up.
