"May the Fourth" may have been "Star Wars Day," but Thursday, May 5 was definitely "Star Trek Day" with the release of Canada Post's line of 50th Anniversary Star Trek stamps.

Three of the stamps were actually unveiled here in Alberta, two at the Calgary Expo April 29 and one in Vulcan about a month ago.

Phil Legault with Canada Post says once you buy the stamps, you'll need to make another trip to Vulcan.

"We've created a special 'cancel' stamp that can only be placed on the envelope at the Vulcan Post Office. So if you've got some special letters that you'd like to have stamped with the special 'Vulcan Star Trek Cancel," then you can either send your letters to the post office, and they stamp them for you and they'll send them off for you. Or you can have them stamped yourself if you're close by."

Canada Post also issued two new stamps Thursday, both holographic, and Legault says if you pay close attention, both have "Easter Eggs" for fans.

You can get your stamps and sets online by clicking "HERE."
