Bow Valley College is offering some free help for entrepreneurs and small business in the Foothills region.

They announced a free new one hour lunch and learn session that will run throughout 2018 at the Chamber of Commerce meeting this week.

The session can also be followed up by individual coaching sessions also at no cost.

Samantha Schellenberg, business development lead said following the one hour lunch and learn sessions she hope the discussion will continue over coffee as people find ways to connect, innovate and create new ways to work together.

"We want the tone to be positive, supportive and collaborative," Schellenberg said.

The sessions run the first Monday of the month starting January 8th.

"It is going to be a very creative space, where it will be very practical and interactive."

The goal is to have it be an idea exchange and an opportunity to connect.

"Get support, share ideas and see what we can do with small business in High River."

She added it is a blend of practical information and networking and connections.

"We invite anyone in the community, a business, somebody who is thinking about learning about what would be included in running a business to join us."

Registrations open December 1st. through The Business Link and Eventbrite.

The program is sponsered by Buisness Link, Community Futures, High River Chamber of Commerce and Bow Valley College.
