A lot of tongue wagging last week during the opening of the Alberta Legislature when it came to talk about new UCP Leader Jason Kenney.

Livingstone-Macleod MLA Pat Stier says the NDP seem a little worried about a leader, who doesn't even have a seat in the house yet.

"The tone in the House was pretty crazy for the first couple of days. It seemed like every time the NDP government members were standing up, they happened to mix in our new leader's name into everything and blaming him for almost everything it sounded like. And we thought that was pretty funny."

As for Stier, he says there were no repercussions over not backing Kenney in the leadership vote.

In fact, Stier was named Municipal Affairs Critic in the UCP Shadow Cabinet.

A role he held under previous Wildrose Leader Brian Jean.
