Nanton "Lights The Way" toward Christmas again this weekend.

All of the big events get underway Friday, November 25 and Chamber of Commerce President Pam Woodall says they'll have lots to offer everyone.

"It is our kick off to the Christmas season and we'd really like to encourage people to come out and have a small town Christmas with us and some of that of course does involve Christmas shopping so our shops are festively decorated and they're open late nights Friday and Saturday,"  she says.

Charm bracelets can be bought starting Friday morning and shoppers can visit one of the 20 businesses taking part in the scavenger hunt to get a free charm as a way of getting people to visit stores they normally may not.

Woodall says there's also the Distinctly Nanton Market at the Community Centre filled with artists and artisans from all over the region selling their wares.

There's also the "I Shop Nanton" contest which runs until the middle of December where at participating vendors , shoppers can fill out a ballot, and they could win a brand new ipad Air 2.

The Kids Craft Corner goes beside the candy store as it has for a number of years from 2 to 8 P.M. Saturday, November 26.

Parents can drop their kids off to do crafts or they can join in and there'll be a number of Town of Nanton representatives on hand to hand out hot chocolate.

And Mrs. Claus will be walking around the town handing out treats.
