A Christmas Concert in Nanton featuring the best local singers and musicians around raised almost three thousand dollars and many bags of food for the Nanton Ministerial Food Bank last week.

Master of Ceremonies Jeff Enfield said there was a variety of talents and sounds.

"There was an eclectic nature too. We had some Cowboy Poetry, some dramatic sound of music, Country and Western, all kinds of different things. So there really was something for everybody tonight."

Some of the performers included The Trio with Sharon Davis, Pam Woodall and Lee McLean; Mariya Stokes, Morgan Wilson Mark Parsons, Charlie Ewing and his daughter Lonni Robley, Jackie and Bill Shaw, Greg Carroll, Grady Brown, Denis and Lynae Dufresne and Sheena Read.

Enfield says it was a great night out for anyone wanting to support a food bank cause.
