The Highwood Mustangs have launched a new social media campaign with hopes of bringing in half a million dollars over the next few years for some big improvements to Mustangs field.

They've already got new dressing rooms on the drawing board, but want to add some new bleachers, and lights to both the football field and the baseball diamond.

Chief Organizer Alaine Kowal says it's called "Mustang on a Shelf" and if you go to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram you can follow the exploits of "Stang" and donate cash to the cause on their "Go Fund Me" page.

"That's exactly what our hopes was to take this outside of our own community, where people are so tapped, and give already so much. And just get people to give a little bit. And we get a lot of people to give a little bit, and we get a lot of money."

Kowal says the idea is to get $5 from 100,000 people.
