The Museum of Highwood got a monetary boost thanks to Travel Alberta and the provincial government during Tourism Week in Canada.

"The aim of the Visitor Services Innovation Fund is to provide support to visitor information centres across the province to improve and increase our services outside of the centre", said Olivia Cotton Cornwall, coordinator for the High River visitor information centre.Olivia said, "The $7,000 grant will help them to install a custom kiosk outside the visitor information centre that will provide information such as travel warnings, road closures, pamplets, magazines, and more, even when the centre is closed".

The Museum of Highwood was one of sixteen organzations to recieve the grant. Others include the Town of Vulcan and Bragg Creek. To learn more about the fund, visit www.alberta.ca.
