More road closures and construction delays than you can shake a stick at in High River over the next few days and weeks.

If you're heading to the Town or M.D. of Foothills offices Thursday, June 7, you'll have to go in the back way behind Snodgrass Funeral Home, as the main entrance on Macleod Trail will be closed from Thursday through to Tuesday, June 12.

It's part of the town's push to wrap up finishing work on the sidewalks and gutters in a few spots.

Which means, the work will includes repairing concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks.

The Town says there will be minor road or intersection closures required and pedestrian access will be interrupted at repair locations with localized restrictions.

As well, Macleod Trail between 8th Street S.W. and Diebert Close is shut down for tree removals between Thursday, June 7 and Tuesday, June 12.

At the same time, crews will be closing 9th Avenue S.W. between 8th and 9th Streets to install a water main.

And another water main is being replaced Thursday, June 7 on 7th Avenue S.E. between 1st and 2nd Streets.
