The Town of High River and Dream Developer's have some big plans for High River.

Besides the homes already being built in Montrose, and more to be added this year, there's much more commercial development along 12th Avenue planned for the next couple of years.

Dream's Director of Retail Leasing, Shevawn Sernecky, says once work is done on Montrose Plaza, they'll have another strip-mall right behind it.

"With phase one being completed in 2018. Phase two will be closely, right behind that. And that's another 20-thousand square feet adding to the existing 25-thousand."

High River Mayor Craig Snodgrass says it's nice to work with developers who are willing to work within the town's building guidelines, not just build what they want.
