It wasn't just food, drinks, and live music that made for a great afternoon at Medicine Tree Manor's Seniors Week BBQ Wednesday, June 6.

Western Financial also presented them with a $5,000 cheque to help with the rehabilitation of Millenium Park.

Chief Administration Officer for Westwinds Communities, Lauren Ingalls, says "We have over 140 seniors who will benefit from being able to utilize this park for recreation, socialization, and walking paths, which will connect throughout the community."

"Our team was interested in helping senior's and being that they just moved back into Medicine Tree Manor this year, it was a good opportunity for us to help out with Millenium Park", said Linda Holmes, Branch Manager for High River's Western Financial.

The event hosted more than 180 senior's from various Westwind Communities, including Okotoks, Black Diamond, and Turner Valley.
