Last Wednesday, May 3, was McHappy Day in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charity and the numbers for 2017 are in.
Okotoks and High River combined raised $13,756 throughout the day.
$4,819 of the local portion will go towards United Way Okotoks, and the other $4,819 will go to Ronald McDonald House Charities in Southern Alberta.
In High River United Way will receive $2,059, and RMHC will also recieve $2,059
More than $5.6 million was raised nationwide to support families of sick children across canada.
The Ronald McDonald house charity helps nearly 30,000 families throughout the nation.
