Okotoks area landowner Edouard Maurice will make his sixth court appearance Friday, June 22, in an Okotoks courtroom.

Just like the first five times, he's there to plead to aggravated assault, pointing a firearm and careless use of a firearm charges from an incident back in February at his property, when he's alleged to have shot one of two people rummaging through his vehicles.

Each time, his lawyer, Tonii Roulston, has reserved his election plea as she's waiting for more discovery evidence from the Crown, including what she calls a key ballistic report, which the Crown says could take up to a year to complete.

At his last appearance, the Judge in the case told both the Crown and defence, he expects to see movement on this matter by the June 22 hearing.

Maurice is in Okotoks Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m.
