RCMP have charged Derek James Saretzky, 22, in the deaths of 2-year-old Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette and her father Terry Blanchette.

Saretzky faces two first degree murder charges, and one count of Indignity to a Body in relation to Hailey's death.

Hailey's body was found Tuesday night near Blairmore after the discovery of her father's body at a Blairmore home on Monday.

Saretzky was taken into custody Tuesday.

Saretzky is set to appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court on Sept. 23 at 9:30 a.m.
