This warm, dry October weather has been the answer to the prayers of local farmers.

Vulcan County Ag Fieldman, Kelly Malmberg says it was a tough September, but the lousy weather wasn't going to last.

"You knew this weather was coming and this has just been awesome! I think by the end of this week, you know, Saturday, Sunday. I don't know about you guys out west, but we'll be essentially I think done here by the end of the week."

Malmberg says some cereal crops will see a drop in value, but oilseed crops like canola weren't as affected and should hold their value.
