There's already lots to look forward to on this year's Little Britches Weekend.

Chairman of the Little Britches Parade Hank Leeferink says we'll see an especially large contingency of Shriners, thanks to this year's parade theme.

"It's a "Salute to the Shriners". The Parade Marshall will be Sir Byron Nelson. He is with the Mounted Patrol, so he'll be bringing those patrol as the Honour Guard. We also have been told that this will be the largest contingency of Shriners that's been seen for a while."

He says this year the Ag Society plans to have a two day rodeo starting after Saturday's parade.

"The Ag Society has chosen to move the rodeo from the typical Monday to the Saturday after the parade and Sunday as well. It's good that we're working together to try to make sure that it is the Little Britches Weekend, so we are trying different venues and events."

Leeferink says there will be no rodeo events on Monday. He says other highlights will include the River of Music and Battle of the Bands.
