High River council has a full plate of issues to deal with at its public meeting Monday afternoon.

The Town's Disaster Recovery Program Committee will present a report regarding the program and changes they'd like to see going forward.

The goal is reflected in the report's title  Finnish the Job/Fix the System.

Council will also be asked to approve the final round of funding from the Community Donation Advisory Committee's recommendations.

Well over a dozen community groups applied for funding through various town committees with over $334,000 to be split among them.

High River's Girl Guides and the town's Pee Wee "A" hockey team will be appearing before council as well.

The Guides will be approaching council to request permission to take part in the "Yellow Fish Road" project on May 29.

On that day they'll be painting yellow fish on sidewalks near storm drains along with the words "Rain Only" to remind residents that storm drains are a gateway to our rivers and other chemicals should not be dumped down them.

The Pee Wee "A" team is looking for a donation to help them in hosting the provincial championships March 10  - 13.

Teams from across Alberta will be in the town to compete for the title.

The meeting gets underway at 3 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
