The Town of High River is hosting a big party at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex on Family Day, Monday, February 19.

Town of High River Youth Programmer Amber Jardine says they get going at 1 o'clock Monday.

"There's going to be bouncy castles and carnival games in the field house, as well as "Pound" and "Zoomba" and "Dance Play for Kids" demonstrations. The pool will be open, so people can come and take a splash in there. And then there's skating available. On the large ice there's shinny, and in the small arena, there's family open skating."

Jardine says it's free for the day with a donation of food or cash for the High River Food Bank.

She says the High River Kinsmen Club will also be on hand serving free hot dogs and free hot chocolate throughout the event, which gets going at 1 o'clock.

And for parents looking for something for the kids during the teachers convention week, the Town has day camps going from Tuesday, February 20 through to Friday, February 23.
