There are a lot of things you can buy at the Foothills Salvage Centre.

Things like books, clothing, building supplies, campers, canoes and once even a boat - and right now you could purchase a home to live in.

Manager Candice Dupre says it is a bit of a fixer upper, but the price is right for someone.

They have a late 1970s model mobile which has a price tag of $4,000 plus moving costs. The hitch and blocks are separate.

The owner had considered taking it to the landfill.

"Someone had sold their property in two days and the new owners wanted to move in in two weeks,"  said Dupre. "And he didn't have any time to get rid of it, so he contacted a mover who brought it to us in the hopes that we can resell it."

And there has been a lot of interest in it, over 20 people have viewed it already.

"It is in really good shape, too nice to go into the landfill. It was too nice not to try to sell it. It has a dishwasher and a stove in it currently."

It has new flooring and is 14 by 70 feet and is being sold as is.
