Two days of music and fun are on tap as the Longstock Festival invades the community of Longview this weekend.

One of the organizers,  Eva Levesque of the Travelling Mabels, says visitors are going to treated to more than just great music.

"What they can expect is an outdoor concert, 16 bands over two days, and this year Rick Smith has organized one of the hugest art tents ever," Levesque says. "We have a 40 by 60 foot tent and also half the park will be nothing but southern Alberta artists."

She says there isn't an actual charge but they're hoping everyone enters through the main gate and makes a donation.

"We do ask that they throw in something for a donation because it does cost a lot of money to put a festival like this on so we rely on donations, and our sponsors, we've got some really good sponsors this year so that's really helped us out," she says.

It goes Saturday from noon to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m..
