A one man crime spree in Okotoks Saturday, October 1 has landed a 28 year old man in some hot water.

It started around 3:30 Saturday afternoon when police responded to a break and enter at a garage at a residence, where they say several items were stolen.

15 minutes later police got a call about another garage being broken into, but this time Mounties say the home owners vehicle was stolen.

Around 5:20 that same afternoon a vehicle was observed driving erratically through Town, which got into a crash five minutes later and was witnessed by an off-duty Okotoks RCMP officer.

After a quick investigation, Mounties recovered three stolen vehicles.

Mounties have charged Stephen Bruce Westfall with a long list of crimes including multiple counts of possession of stolen property both over and under $5,000.

He's also facing two counts of break and enter, mischief, obstruction of a police officer, impaired driving, driving over .08 and driving while suspended.

He's in custody at the Calgary Remand Centre awaiting his first court appearance.
