Okotoks RCMP are asking for the public's help after another vehicle theft the morning of Monday, November 28 in Cimarron.

Okotoks RCMP Sergeant Sukh Randhawa says "due to the cool temperature the night before the family left their truck running to warm up in their driveway, upon return they noticed it gone and reported it as stolen." Randhawa says "We always ask for the publics' asssistance, and if they have any information to come forward."

The vehicle is a red Dodge Ram 1500 pick up truck, and was stolen out of the family's driveway in Cimarron Vista Circle.

This is the 65th vehicle theft in Okotoks since January and there has been 45 vehicle thefts in the rural surrounding areas.

Okotoks Mounties are asking residents to take precautions with their posessions and vehicles. "It is noted that majority of the vehicles were left unlocked. This is an ongoing issue and as a precaution, RCMP would like to remind the public to keep their vehicles locked while unattended and to remove keys and /or valuables." Said Randhawa.

Any one with information on this crime can contact the Okotoks detachment at (403) 995-6400, or they can call Crimestoppers AT 1800-222-TIPS(8477).
