The debate over Bill 6 in Alberta is not going away.

Local farm worker Tanya Clemons, who works on her parents farm near Mossleigh, says the legislation doesn't make a lot of sense to force on farmers and farm workers.

"I don't think any of that has to be legislated, because I think it's already common practice in all farm families. There's lots of farm families that have already voluntarily opted into WCB, because they've seen the benefit of it. There's other ones that have private insurance, that they feel is actually far superior that offers great benefit packages and is even more cost effective."

Clemons says she's never felt pressured to do dangerous work on the farm, adding none of the other hired hands on the farm have ever been asked to do anything that was unsafe either.

Thousands of farmers across the Province have protested Bill 6 over the last couple of weeks.

Premier Rachel Notley says she'll push through the legislation before the New Year.
