A local artist has her work on display in a harvest-issue magazine More Of Our Canada.

Janice Storch-King's photos have found a home in Ottawa at the local Member of Parliament's office and a photo shoot last fall has landed her work inside the national magazine.

"It's my first national publication, I have had a regional magazine publish me on their cover, but this is my first national magazine," She says. "The Groeneveld's invited me out last fall to take pictures of their harvest and they wanted to create some Christmas photo books and I took a picture of George Groeneveld in a combine and submitted it to Reader's Digest, they're the parent company of the Our Canada magazine, and a couple of months ago the lady said 'You know we're doing a harvest issue, love to use your photo, give us some more details' and here it is in the September issue of their magazine."

She says it was fortunate they got the shot.

"They had called in a panic, 'We're goin' hard on harvest, come take pictures' so I was out there and it was 27 degrees and the next day there was a foot of snow on the ground," she says.

Storch-King says kind of neat seeing a photo that she took and came from eye and her camera appear and through the computer to ever house that has the magazine.
