This year the Historic Homes Tour, hosted by the Museum of the Highwood on September 15th, is going to have a new element to it.

Homes taking part are going to be filled with the sweet sounds of live music.

Musicians who have performed in the Kiwanis Music Festival in High River will be busking at the homes.

Volunteer Lori Koehler, with both events, says the next festival is the 40th anniversary and they plan to do some different events this year to mark it.

"This year being the 40th anniversary we are hoping that we can have a lot more public performances to let people know what we do," said Koehler."There is a high level of talent here in High River.

The musicians include, fiddlers, singer-songwriters, singers, a flute and violin duo and perhaps a harp player.
