The winners are in for the Light Up High River contest.

In total the contest had 605 respondents voting on the best decorated homes and businesses.

Organizer Sherri Tanner says the response to the contest was fantastic.

"The votes came in really high," said Tanner. "So that is very exciting that people were encouraged to participate online. Obviously they drove around and saw all the fantastic lights."

She says the community support is great.

"The interaction is fantastic to see that and High River is so about community."

She would like to see a few more businesses involved next year.

"As a business owner I would really like to encourage and see all businesses sort of participate in that."
