Lemonade, cookies, a great cause and a parade to watch - it doesn't get any better than that.

Nine year-old Tate Barton, and his dad James, was back with his popular lemonade stand on Saturday May 20 on the corner of MacLeod Trail and 6th ave.

Tate says he has a little help getting ready.

"One of my aunties gets the stuff from Co-op, and then my other Auntie makes it from scratch," said Tate.

And there was a new twist to the sales this year.

"It's exciting this year because we are not just staying on this corner this year we are actually moving it down to the Museum at the end of the parade."

All the money he raises goes to the High River Hospital Foundation for Cancer Care in memory of his mom Jill.

His goal is to raise $250,000 by the time he is 18, in three years, not including this years totals he has raised $29,000.

Dad James said support for the project is amazing.

"It's going really well, we had a huge crowd right off the bat."

And he added there is always a big crowd after the parade is finished.

They had four huge tubs of lemonade and a giant tray of homemade cookies.

Tate collected $7,200 on Saturday, but there are a few more donations coming in.
