High River council meets for the final time before the reduced summer schedule Monday.

Among the items to be discussed is a recommendation from the Town's Arts and Culture advisory committee on what to do with the Jubilation mural on the side of Highwood Printing.

Council heard at a previous meeting the mural has sustained weather damage since just after it was unveiled and a decision needs to be made what to do with it.

Council will also hear from a delegation from the Heritage Advisory Board on the need for a management plan for 2018.

Film productions could be paying to use High River as a back drop to their shows in the future.

One of the items on the agenda is an amendment to the Rate Bylaw establishing fees for services for film productions.

The bylaw would also establish fines for non-compliance.

Council will also be asked to decide on its interest in a regional recycling facility.

The Foothills Regional Services Commission, which operates the regional landfill,  had comissiond a study on the interest communities had for things like curbside recycling.

The meeting starts at 3 o'clock in the council chambers.
