A former High River Town Councillor is taking another kick at the can in civic politics.

Jamie Kinghorn says recycling in High River is something he'd like to study more to see if the Town can find a way to get more people to recycle, either through a blue-bin program, or better use of existing services and facilities.

"I think that the perception of a blue bin is that it's going to cost the Town a whole bunch of money or the residents a whole bunch of taxes and that sort of thing. I'm for reviewing our recycling program and how it's working. How it can be improved on. I think to get true, real engagement in recycling, you need to make it a little easier for folks to access."

Kinghorn says he'd also like to see a pedestrian bridge over the Highwood River, linking the north and south sides of town.

Kinghorn, who sat on council from 2010 to 2013 lost his seat in the 2013 election when he ran for Mayor against Craig Snodgrass.
