A ton of events are planned all over the foothills to help celebrate Canada's 150 birthday on July 1.

You could plan to do a full circle starting in Blackie with pancakes and a parade, going south to Nanton for the farmers market and Human Flag, heading west to the Bar U Ranch for birthday cake and ranching activities then coming back to George Lane Park.  

In High River the celebration gets underway at Noon at the George Lane Park with bands, live entertainment, classic cars on display, and much more.

Blackie has a full day of activities including a pancake breakfast, parade, tractor pull, hay rides, live bands, a pig roast and fire works.

Nanton has s full day planned as well with a farmers market, family activities, Lancaster Engine Run, a human flag a carnival and ends with a music jam in the park.

The Town of Okotoks has events planned from June 30 to July 2 in the afternoon.

And don't forget the Village of Cayley has local music artists, Children's Historical Displays and more.
