It is almost time to pack up the costumes, the instruments and the sheet music for another year.

The Highwood Lions Music Festival wraps up Friday, April 7 with the final musical theatre performances.

The final two days featured students in costumes singing some of their favourite songs, like "Under the Sea" from the Little Mermaid and "Hard Knock Life" from Annie.

Bruce Masterman says the festival is one of his favourite High River events to volunteer at, he started when his children performed in it.

"It is always entertaining to see the talent,' said Masterman. "And you can't help but think of yourself up there at that age and there is no way I would have done that."

Performer Genevyeve Lindenback pictured the audience in their underwear to get over her nervousness. She sang "Under The Sea" as her musical theatre piece.

Rehana Perumal had the song "Hard Knock Life" stuck in her head after watching Annie, so that's what she went with for her performance.

Georgia Pugh enjoyed getting mad in her song "Sayanora".

The adjudicators showcase concert, the highlight of the festival, goes Saturday, April 8, 2 P.M. at the High River United Church.
