The annual Terry Fox Run is ready to go Sunday Sept 18 at George Lane Park.

Organizer, Brenda McCredie says they'll have a registration table ready to go at 9:30am from 9:30 A.M. 12 P.M., with the run starting at 10 A.M.

She says you don't have to pre-register, but you can if you want to.

"You can go online to terryfox.org, and do some online pledging. If you need to find out more information, go to terryfox.org and you'll find the High River information."

McCredie says they had a record number of people out last year and says it's a great chance to raise some money for cancer research, but you don't have to be a hardened athlete to take part.

"It's not for 'elite' athletes, anybody can do it. It's a five kilometre course. We go around town, a lot of it is on the berm, so you go along the river, which is great!"

McCredie says it's a very "come as you are" event, where you can run, walk, bike, skateboard or do whatever works for you.
