2017 marks the tenth anniversary of Alberta Culture Days, and High River has been chosen as one of 68 sites for the celebration.

Mary Zazelenchuk, Director of the High River Library, says the library will act as a hub for the celebrations, but events are not limited to the one location.

"The Alberta Culture Days celebration is for three days and the library is only open on Fridays and Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays, but there will be a number of people in the community participating."

You can expect many different events and activities for people of all ages over the course of this three day celebration.

This includes a demonstration by the High River Line Dancers, a World Music performance for kids, art showings, and a talk from local author and conservationist Bruce Masterman.

Zazelenchuk says you can look forward to a full schedule of events by September.

Alberta Culture Days runs from September 29th to October 1st, 2017.
