Maclean's Magazine has released their list of the "Most Dangerous Places in Canada for 2018."

And when it comes to High River and Okotoks, where do they rank?

Nowhere near the top.

High River's at 160th in overall crime, while Okotoks is 129th out of 229 communities surveyed coast-to-coast.

In High River, the overall crime rate is down, with marijuana trafficking and production the only crime on the rise.

A little different in Okotoks where assaults were down, but sexual assaults and cocaine trafficking or production forced them higher on the list as their overall crime rate was up.

The most dangerous place in Canada?

North Battleford Saskatchewan.

Among Alberta cities, Red Deer is fifth and Wetaskiwin in eighth, while Edmonton is 31st and Calgary 93rd.
