High River RCMP, thanks to a tip from the public, nabbed three suspects from Calgary after the Shoppers Drug Mart was robbed Monday, April 9.

Mounties say, the trio, two men and a woman, were opening boxes near the electronics aisle and fled when confronted by staff.

They tore off in a red Ford Focus with about $700 worth of electronics.

Someone later noticed a suspicious vehicle, called the cops, and they swooped in arresting all three and recovering the stolen goods, plus some more stuff stolen from an unknown location.

In a release the RCMP say: The tips we receive from the public drive our evidence-led initiatives and assist with the deployment of resources.

Reporting crime leads to tangible results and creates safer and more engaged communities.
