High River RCMP, working with the Calgary Police Service, caught up with a quartet of alleged car thieves Thursday, March 16.

They arrested two men and two women in what they say was a stolen car early Thursday morning, adding the vehicle also had a stolen license plate.

Mounties say upon further investigation the group was also allegedly involved in committing property crimes in both High River and Nanton, and the two men arrested both have "significant criminal history."

All four will be facing charges of possession of stolen property, flight from police, obstruction, breach of recognizance and dangerous driving.

All four remain in custody in cells at the High River RCMP Detachment.
