A High River resident is now $2 million richer after winning the Western Max lottery.

Sheldon Campbell won on the quick pick numbers, and also won a $2 prize on another line with the same ticket, bringing his total winnings to a whopping $2,000,002.

"It was really exciting," he said in a press release. "My heart was pounding in my chest."

Campbell told the Western Canada Lottery Corporation that he bought his ticket from the High River 7-Eleven and won by matching all six numbers of the main draw.

He said he doesn't know what he wants to do with the money yet, but said he'll start by paying off his bills.

"Then maybe I'll buy a boat and I'll definitely take a trip somewhere...anywhere!" he said in a press release.
