For buyers looking for real estate, whether for homes or commercial, High River is the place to be.

Associate broker Jim Ross of Re/Max Southern Reality says the advantage for someone choosing High River is significant.

"High River offers exceptional value, the difference in prices isn't a little bit, it is substantial."

The average price of a home in High River is $360,000, in Okotoks it is $484,000 and in Calgary it is $564,000.

"Sales in High River this year are up substantially from last year. In fact since March 1 this year it is almost double the transactions from last year. The price spread between High River and Calgary or Okotoks makes High River excellent value."

Ross adds landlords with space in downtown High River are open to making amazing deals right now for businesses.

'We do have a high vacancy rate in downtown High River right now but landlords are very accommodating of new tenants and they are prepared to make excellent deals encourage tenants to fill up downtown spaces."
