High River's Town Council is officially back to a full compliment.

Michael Nychyk was sworn in Monday, October 24, just before council held it's organizational meeting.

He won a by-election October 17, defeating his three challengers and taking over the seat left vacant after the resignation of Peter Loran in August.

During the organizational portion of the meeting council voted to stick with the current schedule of holding meetings on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 3:00 p.m.

The only exceptions are during the months of December, and next July and August.

A schedule of Deputy Mayors was approved with Cathy Couey taking over the job from Nov. 1, 2016 to Feb. 29, 2017, Bruce Masterman from March 1, 2017 to June 30, 2017 and Dragon Brankovich from July 1, 2017 to October 31, 2017.

After that the line-up will be determined after the October 16, 2017 General Municipal Election.
