The High River Foodbank is getting some help Thursday from Stephen's No Frills, AM 1140 and Sun Country and all of you who are helping out.

It's their annual "Food Mountain" food drive with all the donations of either food or cash going to help out people right here in High River.

No Frills Owner, Stephen Charland says he wants us all to give until it hurts.

"We're hoping to fill every truck we've got, we've got three trucks out there. And we've also got for those that don't want to bring in a donation, or buy food in the store, you can give a small $2 donation right at the till. And all the proceeds are going to the Food Bank, right here in High River."

Charland says a recent trip to the Food Bank showed him how desperate the situation is as the shelves were empty.

He says community involvement is something he lives by personally, and something No Frills lives by as well, as they look to pitch in and help out where they can in High River.

They'll be collecting food and cash donations right up until 6 o'clock Thursday night, so stop by, give what you can and say "Hi" to you're favourites from Sun Country and AM 1140.

Sun Country Morning Show Host Jody Seeley, along with Sun Country & AM 1140 Program Director Kevin Wallace were joined by Michelle Ganchar from the High River Food Bank Thursday Morning.
