Two arrests were made at the Costco yesterday evening in relation to a stolen bronze Ford F350 from Calgary that made its way into Okotoks.

Cpl. Korey Crerar, Supervisor for the Okotoks RCMP detachment, says the truck was spotted in the Costco parking lot, resulting in the arrest of two females by plain clothes officers.

"The event yesterday was following up from a stolen Ford F350 that entered the Okotoks area after coming from Calgary Police Service," he said.

The male driver, who remained inside the vehicle, was observed for a period of time before leaving the area, which prompted the Calgary Police Service to deploy HAWCS.

The truck was followed into the High River and Strathmore areas, where police then deployed a tire deflation device, successfully puncturing the truck's tires.

The male suspect continued driving after the tires were punctured, leading police back to the south end of Calgary, where the truck came to a stop riding on three rims.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident, and the investigation continues with the Calgary Police Service.
