Okotoks will be filled with sounds of the blues and signs of fall this weekend.

Harvest and Blues Fest kicks off Friday night at 7:30 with live performances at the RPAC, then Saturday a free family event will take over Ethel Tucker Park.

Mark Doherty, community events coordinator, says the event will offer something for everyone.

"There's a collection of antique tractors, farm implements, we have a petting zoo, there's a horse drawn wagon ride and again we'll go through our scarecrow alley with over 30 scarecrows out, and there's a rumour the Blues Brothers are showing up for the event."

Doherty says Saturday will be affordable for families.

"It's totally free of charge but there is a $5 deal where kids can play 10 old fashioned carnival games, all kids win a prize, and the last game is my favourite it's candy in the straw so kids dig through the straw to find their candy. It's just a great one and kids anywhere from toddlers right up to 40-year-olds will be in that straw looking for candy."

Bouncy castles will also be set-up and a bbq fundraiser to help support the United Way's programs in Okotoks.
