While not claiming it was the "best ever," organizers with last weekend's Guy Weadick Days in High River were certainly happy with how it all went.

Event Chair Don O'Brien says attendance was good, and even a day of rain didn't seem to dampen the party-like atmosphere.

"The weather was, just the weather. We can't control that, so we just focused on what we could control and that was the event, with stock and the competitors and the cabaret. So, we're pretty thrilled. We've got to add it up and see where we land, but I think we're off to a pretty good start."

O'Brien says having two cabaret's turned out to be a good idea and the campground was full in it's first year, so he says both will be back again for next year's event.
