The inaugural Narrow Road Home Walk and Run goes tomorrow at 9am at the gazebo in George Lane Park it it'll go until around 2pm.

Event Coordinator Angelique Linge says there's a lot more going on at the event than the walk and run.

"There's, bouncy castles, face painting and sumo wrestling. We'll have a kids race with special guest Princess Pearl and that's going to start at 11am. Based on the age of the kids teh race will be anywhere from 200 metres to 800 metres."

She says that funds raised will go to the every day expenses of running the Narrow Road Home and its programs.

She says it costs about $5,000 per month per lady in the program and right now there are twenty women at Narrow Road Home.

"In George Lane Park we'll have a 5KM run/walk and you'll basically head out onto the berm onto 12th Avenue with turn around at The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Back at the gazebo we'll have bouncy castles, face painting and special guest Princess Pearl."

She says they will also have their Scoops of Love ice cream truck on hand and it'll all wrap up around 2pm.

"It's not too late to get involved, we are going to have last minute registration from 8:30am to 9am and the kids races are free so they can just show up."
