It's time to get out the brooms and do some spring cleaning.

For the Town of High River that means getting the street sweepers out and getting the gravel off the roads.

The Manager of Operational Services with the Town, Eugene Lund, says it starts the first week of April.

"What's going to be happening is our crews will be moving throughout the different parts of town putting up temporary signs indicating that there'll be street sweeping, no parking, you know that type of thing anywhere from 24 to 48 hours ahead of when we do it, so we would ask residents when they see those signs to make arrangements to move any vehicles that they have parked on the streets so we can clean them up," Lund says.

He says they understand people may be away and so they'll to to get back to spots where vehicles were left on the road but they appreciate residents cooperation in getting the job done quickly.

He says it usually take six to eight weeks to get the whole town done, depending on the weather.
