A park often referred to as the jewel of High River was recently recognized as the Campground Of The Year.

The award was handed out at the Southwest Service and Tourism Awards in Lethbridge earlier this month.

George Lane Park was nominated along with the Great Canadian Barn Dance, the Lost Lemon Campground and the Daisy May Campground.

High River Lions member Tom Carson accepted the award.

Dana Zelke was also nominated for her work with the Nanton Bomber Command Mseum.
