Foothills MP John Barlow says grants to four local programs will help seniors continue to make valued contributions to their communities.

Four local projects have received federal funding through the New Horizons for Seniors Program.

The Valley Neighbours Club receives $25,000 to replace the air conditioner and lighting fixtures.

The Turner Valley Legion Branch gets $10,000 for replacement of the refrigeration unit and new flooring.

The Town of High River Friendship Centre will get $7,583 for upgrades to the ceiling, stove and stairs while the Town of High River receives $25,000 for its Cycling Without Age program.
